Is there anything more Saratoga than brunch on a porch? Especially when it’s held on the beautiful porch at the Reading Room, a “clubhouse” of sorts for horse owners and industry insiders only. On Sunday August 13th from 10am to 1pm you’ll be able to visit for the first time and you won’t want to miss the Equestricon Fashion Showcase brunch, hosted by Donna Brothers of StarLadies Racing and Ashley Cline of Equestrian Stylist. Throughout the brunch, you can view racetrack fashions from local brands and have the opportunity to shop the featured looks. A morning full of our favorite things; brunch and shopping? Count us in! To enter tickets for the giveaway just share or retweet this post!

Have you heard of the new concert series, SPAC on Stage, starting Monday August 7th at Saratoga Performing Arts Center? It is an innovative new series that puts the audience on stage with dynamic, genre-crossing artists who are pushing musical boundaries. Two of the four performances are already sold out and the other two are close! The line up for the concert series is as follows: August 7th- The Hot Sardines (SOLD OUT), August 14th- Time for Three, August 21st- Black Violins (SOLD OUT), August 28th- Tiempo Libre.
While The Hot Sardines and Black Violins shows are already sold out you won’t want to miss the Time for Three and Tiempo Libre shows. They are close to selling out, make sure you purchase your tickets today!
Time for Three
Get ready for a night of classical music that defy the traditional genre classification. Time for Three is an ensemble of three classically trained musicians- violinist Nicholas Kendall and Charles Yang, and double-bassist Ranaan Meyer who play an uncommon mix of music with virtuosity and showmanship. They perform a wide variety of music: from classical Bach to their own originals and arrangements of bluegrass and folk tunes to a mash up of hits by the Beatles to Justin Timberlake and more.
Tiempo Libre will close out the SPAC On Stage series with an unparalleled performance that you won’t forget. Tiempo Libre is a three-time Grammy nominated Afro-Cuban music group that is at home in concert halls, jazz clubs, festival stages and dance venues around the world. Led by founder, pianist and bandleader Jorge Gómez, who was trained at Cuba’s premier conservatories, Tiempo Libre has been praised by the New York Times for its “dance music of sophistication and abandon”. When we share the stage with them on August 28 they will be highlighting music from their album, Bach in Havana. This Grammy nominated album connects the rhythm and sensibilities of Afro-Cuban music with the compositions of Johann Sebastian Bach.
Tomorrow is the day! It’s the first ever Fire Feast on the Farm event at the Pitney Meadows Community Farm and we can’t wait
